Dr. Tina Khoury

Dr. Tina Khoury

At Khoury Family Dental, Dr. Tina Khoury is passionate about providing comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages. She excels in creating meaningful connections with her patients, guiding them towards achieving smiles they can be proud of.

Born in Jacksonville, Florida, and raised in Peoria, Illinois, Dr. Khoury's life has been deeply influenced by her parents' journey from Lebanon to the United States. She completed her high school education at Peoria Notre Dame High School and pursued her undergraduate studies at Bradley University. There, she obtained a degree in Chemistry, with minors in Biology and Marketing.

Dr. Khoury's journey in dentistry led her to Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. Her practice is grounded in the latest dental technology and research methods, ensuring first-rate care for her patients. She is an active member of several prestigious dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and Chicago Dental Society.

In 2015, Dr. Khoury moved to Gurnee, Illinois, and joined the Northwestern Dental Group. This move coincided with her husband pursuing his PhD in Neuroscience at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. After her husband, Dr. Feras Altwal, graduated, Dr. Khoury realized her long-held dream of owning a practice by acquiring a well-established clinic in Vernon Hills, previously owned by Dr. Scott Brenner. Her loyal patient base and a dream team of staff have been instrumental in realizing this vision.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Khoury cherishes her time in Peoria with her family and enjoys visiting her parents' restaurant, Khoury's Cuisine. She also loves exploring the city with her husband and friends, snuggling with her Maltipoo, Mr. Falafel, and traveling the world, embracing new experiences and cultures.
